Well waddya know? 2k4's leaving!! 2k5 arrives..with mixed feelings i figure...
Good things that happened :
1. I came to this lil freaking island called singapore..hehe..and met a bunch of fun people...woot..E1..i oughta slap you people for making me laugh so much! haha..anyways..learnt a lot of new stuff,kinda got more independent..still suck at cooking tho..hah..i seriously should get my arse up and try to cook more things. but as usual..i'm too lazy..hehe..
2. I got my mp3 player [^_^] hehe..MuVo2 FM..5GB,can't live without it. haha...that was a cheap thing that happened..lol..well not really cheap,it cost me about 400 bucks =P
3. probably made a permanent change to my "invisible" attitude..forced myself to talk to more people...hey,u come to a place where no one knows u,u just gotta get to know em..gets boring without people to talk with ya know what i'm sayin?
but with all good things,there are sure to be bad stuff..
1. the tsunami disaster..dang..that sure took the bang out of everything that Asia was getting done right..
2. Streats is ending..and today was the last issue. =( FYI,for those who don't know..Streats = asia's 1st free paper. sigh..no more source of info while i'm bored...heck..i could go buy a paper but as usual i just can't be bothered to get my arse outta the chair...
3. I miss malaysian food =( haha..singaporean food just lacks that "kick"..hehehe..
sooooo...on the whole..it's balanced i guess =S
gonna be thinkin back bout this year i guess...if i can remember it..haha..
memories here and there..some good..some bad..but one thing's for sure..u,my frens,were usually in all my good memories =)
ta ta..gonna be taking the rest of the year off from blogging..i'll be back next year LoL

recently, an earthquake measuring 9.0 on the Richter scale ripped through the Indian Ocean from the tip of Aceh,Indonesia over an area of 1000 km...what's worse,it happened on a fault line..which means after shocks are bound to happen...tremors from the shock could be felt all the way at Kuala Lumpur,which meant this was no small rumble.
from the rattling earth, giant waves were made and swept through several countries,killing thousands of locals and visitors at various cities and resorts such as Phuket,Aceh,Malaysia,Southern India and the worst of all, Sri Lanka.
the death toll has surpassed 22,000 lives as of printing time of Streats,28th December. In Sri Lanka alone, deaths have chalked up till 10,029 and 800,000 people have lost their homes.
All this happened at about 7 am in the morning on Boxing Day(the day after Christmas). Tragedy strikes without a whiff, i grieve for the family members of the people who were taken without a clue.

Well today was a lil better than the rest of the week i suppose..
this calls for documentation of course!
1st off..my old classmates organized this lil Gift Exchange. Each person has to buy a gift,between $5-$10..and get it wrapped.after that,the gift is given a number. Then,each person took turns to draw numbers from a box and received the gift corresponding to that number,but has to redraw if he gets his own gift. The present i bought was a box of chocolates(and sad to say..about half the class bought chocolates of one brand or another..haha)..and i received a pink mug(yes i know..it's pink [T_T]..but i gotta be thankful..cos it's the thought that counts,and also cos i didn't get chocolate =D)...i also kinda missed a lecture cos everybody took too long to get to the meeting place..haha..but it was time well spent with the people i've gotten to know for a whole semester. I was expecting more stuff to happen...like a weird awkward speechless scenario,but it didn't happen..guess the person chickened out at the last moment to splurge a gut out.
2nd,i actually started talking to somebody in my class..the class rep haha..well..it's an improvement over my current standings rite? lol..at least i know one person in the class now =D
On another note,i didn't go down to Orchard to take the pics cos i heard from frens that it isn't that nice...but i have a feeling the decorations this year is to be enjoyed by a couple taking a nice stroll down the busy place after work hours (to avoid the noise and throngs of crowd)
oh and..before i end this,one last silly note..
Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year to everybody and anybody who celebrates (personally,don't celebrate myself but i relish in the thought of people sharing unanimous good feelings for one another =)
So,enjoy the day(s) of happiness,and don't get too drunk..it's only a weekend =D

Sigh...it appears that i'm the only one in Group E1 to change class =(
wonder which person got my place in the group...
and anyway...kinda disheartening since i won't be in class with the frens i've made last sem,but i think i'll survive lol..
after all...i survived changing countries last semester,so i figure i'll do alrite..

Alritey...what can i say...i hate my new timetable..blargh!!!!!!!
Most classes start after 10,but...i end at 6pm on 4 days out of 5...that is so screwy!!
Plus,i start 5 freaking days before christmas...those dudes working in the Education Ministry...take note of this shit...study for 5 days..and then go have fun for the weekend and go to school with a hangover...doesn't that just sound soooooo fun to you? but anyway...i got french..hehe..so let's just see how interesting such a subject can be...
Next thing...do.not.put.cake.in.ur.nose. seriously,it's gross..i would know..huang just happened to chase me about 100 m just to stuff a slice of cake in my face. Dumb arse..people sabo u cannot revenge la! Argh..u wait..the next bday...no matter who's bday it is..ur gonna get cake in ur pants..muahahahahaha!!! nah..just kidding..maybe in ur hair..but that's it..
Anyway,before the whole cake fiasco,we had dinner at The House of Sundanese Food..was nice overall..hehe..and huang even got free soup..then still can revenge-sabo me..stupid arse! heh...anyways,the prices were reasonable...not like that time some smart people decided to eat at N.Y.D.C...well...let's just say i'm more satisfied,and paid 1/3 of what i did at N.Y.D.C..and it seems..heh..i'm more involved with planning stuff...cool =)
so yea..i hate planning stuff cos i had to go round collective and returning money to people who had contributed...(try calculating how much cash ur supposed to collect and/or return to 10 people at the same time)...but..satisfaction from a nice plan is nice...he he he..muahaha...i'm so sleepy damn it..
school starts on the 20th..so yea..screw u stupid people who set the damn timetable at NYP...muahahaha

Well well people...time for another serious post! While chatting with Yi Xian today,I just remembered this quote, from who or where,i will probably never recall as i have the memory of an ant..only remembering where to locate food. So anyway...i wonder just how much weight does this quote hold in the modern age where the first impression holds more weight than 5 or 10 meetings might. Partially, Mandy's latest blog post got me thinking bout it too..partially,i may add..it added fuel to my inquisitional flame.
See..this is one example why I question that quote. a guy,is generally friendly with a girl,chats with her often etc..because she is an interesting person to chat with.his frens may perceive that he is interested in her and is paying special attention to her...fair? you be the judge...
so let's talk about actions..k..actions,to me,are divided into 2 segments...reason and reaction...simple no? but that's just cos i believe in the theory of relativity,that is, every action has it's reason and reaction(O.o sounds like i ripped it out eh?)
Now,because an action is dictated by a reason and reaction,it may eventually daunt on a person to be aware of his actions so that he may not be misjudged..or even worse yet..his actions be misconstrued to have a hidden agenda (oh dear not that lol). Some individuals might analyze everything they do,thinking a wee too much making them use their brain for all the wrong reasons,adding more stress into their life..and hey..i've never known anybody that needs more stress,do u? anyway..i've strayed off...now,what if the person didn't analyze too much..preferring to partially hide it..or hide it altogether? Well then,some people would understand...knowing that he/she would want to escape unfair scrutiny...but what about the other people,those who take things at face value? they'd probably go "Oh..what have u been doing so quietly ah? Oh...i get it..",meaning,they'd think u hide it for a specific reason...and then,they might misconstrue it further thinking that u hid it from them because u didn't want them to find out..giving them all the more reason to poke fun at u(admitedly of course,that is..if those individuals don't listen to the voice of logic or reason..but u can never blame a person for their lack of IQ,i'd rather feel bad for them knowing how much they could possibly humiliate themselves..and there i go straying off again.)
So now,what's a person to do? Caught between the devil and the deep blue sea,that would possibly be the only explanation i can get. regardless of what they do,negative perception always arises..therefore..it's one element of human nature that i feel could demoralise a person completely...removing him or her to merely a shadow of his or her past(i seem to be using a lot of metaphors and quotes today,haven't i?). As for me,well,i take the bitter with the sweet..do as i will,let people see me,no facades,no tricks..i am what i am. Judge me if u might,correct u as i may...ur thoughts are ur very own,what u do with it,i really do not want to know(who knows,u might have perverted dreams of stars at nite O.o [p.s-at the rate i'm going,the poem The Road Not Taken would not apply to me because i'm straying all over the damn place]).For you people,a small piece of advice,never judge a book by it's cover(heh,i think i could be voted most cliched dude)..contemplate the person's action before critisizing,for all u know...he/she may be truly sincere and have no hidden agenda...and ur comment just might be the last straw before he/she slips into depression,and that ain't a happy place to be[tho i must admit,mind games do prove to be fun when the person doesn't get the underlying meaning of ur words >:)].
So i guess,my post is nearly complete..i've ranted to my heart's content(more precisely,to my mental limit cos i've been sleeping at 2-3 am every day for the past week) and i think i shall go to sleep...but before i do,i probably would go star gazing a lil bit..been a while since i've done it.
