read thru my past posts and realised that i kinda speak(blog) kinda erratically.
maybe somehow my brain's been corrupted by mengli who doesnt use bloody periods in his blog post (incidentally,i think he'd probably pick a fight with me for no reason if he was still in school, just cos i used the word bloody on him heh)

i always think to myself, "gonna blog something that provokes thinking and a thoughtul debate"...each and every time i get an idea, and flesh it out..it'd be while im in bed trying to fall asleep. and undoubtedly by the time im awake its gone and well yeah, kinda a conundrum if u ask me. easiest solution is of course to keep a notepad by my bed and write it out ASAP, but then im such a lazy ass i cant be arsed to do it. its like work,i know i gotta do it,and i know i can do it,but i wont do it...just cos i know i dont need to do it...yet.

the irony with me is that i can actually tell myself the list of things i need to accomplish and complete but i will never get down to it, unless its the 13th hour and my head is about to be put on a chopping block. i can tell people,im lazy,im a slacker,im great at procrasinating etc so on and so forth...yet i cant actually seem to find a reason not to be that way. its almost i lack a will to change. and i actually know thats deadly too. so why am i this way? i cant actually blame my genes..both parents are workaholics and the uncle i live with is a slave driver. incidentally, my brother is one bloody lazy pig too. and vain. and is messier than me. ok i'm disgressing and insulting my brother instead =X

so yeah,i guess thats my thought provoking thought of the moment. is laziness a gene or is it a cultivated germ bred thru upbringing and lifestyle variables?

imho, its the lifestyle whereby we're provided with things we need, all within arm's reach. to the point that some people dont bother doing research for information they know is there...instead they ask people for it.

evidence of this is readily available in forums of all sorts...
people actually go thru the trouble of creating thread after thread asking the same repeated question...dozens of times a week,or even day in the case of some active forums. there's the search button, there's a sticky thread linking all the useful threads,or even a huge list of sticky's they can use to find the information they need, all within a click or 2...yet they must make a new thread, expecting to be spoon fed the information which might have taken them like maybe 5 seconds to find using CTRL F. ok fine so they arent tech savvy and they dont know what CTRL F does. instead there's a tab at the top of their browser that reads, Edit, and under it, Find. no,they dunno its there..and they call themselves intelligent/smart/pro/whatever.
funniest cases are those that ask,and when u tell them where to find the information they'd tell u it cant be found(when u actually just answered a thread like this about 5 minutes ago) or, demanding u to not be selfish and just post it there for them, again, like some answering machine that responds to their every whim.

if thats the way some people react and behave on the internet i dont see why they would be any better in real life. yeah sure i'd say im a lazy person but im more lazy in the sense of procrastination...i do my research for information etc. scariest thing is that some people believe that on the internet is where people display their deepest kept desires/inhibitions. does that mean that there are actually so many lazy people in this world?
and in the case of inhibitions, what then would become of those under strict totalitarian "Big Brother" rule like in China(soon even singapore i believe. right now u can even be arrested just for criticizing the gahmen's inadequacies or incapabilities, or even just disagreeing with them, heh. hell even big names are shot down easily(mrbrown lost his newspaper column just for a simple rant in his blog,i find it rather disturbing really). who knows what they'd do to someone in the future just for saying "i think the government made a mistake"

but then,im disgressing soooo far away from my main point,eh?
so thats what im saying. singapore is claiming that its trying to breed innovation and creativity, yet at the same time stifling it(i bet u all know how stupid sg's laws can be..i mean, this is the first country to ban oral sex[as far as i know] roflmfao) by setting rather strict and weird laws. imho, singapore's so advanced and organized..to the point that if they encounter a situation where they havent been taught what to do,they might actually *gasp* not know what to do. sure, there's common sense...but ever tried asking a singaporean to climb a tree? lol they'd look at u as if u told them to jump off a cliff(and most of them would readily do that with a bungee cord attached to their feet. yeah yeah i know, off topic liao).

really, it seems that singaporeans arent very ready to just jump into something without prior documented information. its like, "i dont know whats behind there..it looks safe but i wont go because i dont know for sure that its safe". very kiasu hor? lol...

but what does being kiasu have to do with being lazy, u'd ask....
my answer...

i dont know.

this is merely me ranting trying to keep myself awake and burn time while waiting for 6 pm! :D

its 5 pm,so now i gotta find another way to burn my time for another hour blah!
Ciaoz!

p.s - anybody who actually read the entire chunk of text i posted above and would like to debate/argue with me is welcome to do so. u can find me on msn between 8.30 am-6pm on mon-thurs and 8.30-5.30pm on fri, excluding lunch/break times which are rather random and would be indicated by an "Away"/"Out to Lunch" status.
